In the business and production building of the Vračar Print company from Novi Sad, the old, non-functional BMS was replaced and functional extensions were made, enabling smooth production accompanied by energy savings.

The system manages the heating substation, which includes multiple heat sources – a gas boiler, a water-to-water heat pump, and an air-to-water heat pump with accompanying elements (sensors, actuators, and circulation pumps).

The heating substation supplies hot and cold water to the air handling units for the production hall, warehouse space, and packaging hall. The air handling units are synchronized with the production plant and maintain constant overpressure in the hall. For maximum energy efficiency of the building and technological requirements in the printing process, the algorithm controlling the air handling units is influenced by the temperature and humidity of the outside air.

In addition, the BMS monitors electricity consumption by building segments through communication with meters via the ModBus protocol.
